SIMcredible- Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Our FAQ guide covers everything you need to know - from SIM activation and roaming to billing, coverage, and switching. Whether you’re a new customer or just comparing providers, this page will help you make the right choice.

Who are SIMcredible?

SIMcredible is a UK-based mobile and broadband provider offering affordable SIM-only plans, eSIMs, handsets, and business connectivity solutions. They partner with major UK networks to provide strong coverage at lower prices than typical operators.

Which networks does SIMcredible use?

SIMcredible works with major UK networks, including O2 and Vodafone. This allows customers to enjoy nationwide 4G/5G coverage, depending on the plan chosen.

Do I need a credit check to join SIMcredible?

No. SIMcredible does not perform credit checks. You simply pay monthly using a debit or credit card, making it ideal for customers with limited or no credit history.

Can I keep my current mobile number?

Yes. You can easily keep your number by providing a PAC code from your current provider. SIMcredible will complete the transfer, usually within one working day.

What is the difference between a SIM and eSIM?

SIM: A physical card inserted into your phone.

eSIM: A digital SIM installed directly onto compatible devices.
Both offer the same service quality, but eSIMs activate faster and require no postage.

How quickly will I receive my SIM card?

Orders placed before 3pm (Mon–Fri) are dispatched the same day via Royal Mail 1st Class. Most customers receive their SIM the next working day.

Can I use my SIMcredible plan abroad?

Yes. Many SIMcredible plans include free roaming:

O2-based plans: Free EU roaming (up to 35GB depending on plan)

Vodafone-based plans: Roaming in up to 81 countries

Always check your specific plan’s roaming allowance.

Does SIMcredible offer 5G?

Yes. Most modern plans support 4G and 5G connectivity, as long as your device is 5G-ready.

Will my phone work with SIMcredible after 3G switch-off?

Yes, as long as your phone supports 4G calling (VoLTE) or 5G. Older 3G-only devices may not function correctly as networks phase out 3G across the UK.

Do you offer contracts or pay-as-you-go?

SIMcredible specialises in flexible rolling monthly plans without long-term commitments. Customers can change or cancel plans easily.

Can I cancel my order?

Yes. You have a 14-day cooling-off period. If you haven’t used the service, you will receive a refund. If the service has been used, you may be charged pro-rata.

How do I pay for my plan?

SIMcredible accepts debit or credit card payments, charged monthly. There is no need for direct debit or lengthy paperwork.

Do you offer business or multi-SIM discounts?

Yes. SIMcredible provides tailored packages for small and medium businesses, including bulk SIM pricing, hosted telephony, and broadband.

Can I buy a phone directly from SIMcredible?

Yes. SIMcredible offers a selection of smartphones, which you can buy upfront and pair with any SIM-only plan.

Do your plans include Wi-Fi calling?

Yes. Wi-Fi calling is included at no extra charge, allowing calls and texts even in low-signal areas when connected to Wi-Fi.

Are SIMcredible plans truly unlimited?

Some plans include unlimited calls, texts, and data. However, fair-use policies may apply, especially when roaming abroad.

How do I contact customer support?

You can reach the SIMcredible team via:

Phone: 01234 587007

Email: hello@simcredible.co.uk

Can I change my plan later?

Yes. Many SIMcredible plans allow you to upgrade or downgrade monthly, giving you more flexibility than traditional contract providers.

Do you offer family plans?

While not listed as “family plans,” you can purchase multiple SIMs under a single customer account, with billing managed together. Contact our customer services team to find out more.

What should I do if my SIM doesn’t work?

SIMcredible provides activation instructions with every order. If you still have issues:

Restart your phone

Check mobile data settings

Ensure you’re in a coverage area

If the problem persists, customer support can assist with troubleshooting.

What happens if my phone is locked?

If your phone is locked to another network, you will need to contact your previous provider to unlock it. Many providers now unlock devices for free.

Is my personal data safe?

Yes. SIMcredible complies with UK GDPR and provides clear privacy practices. Customers can request access, deletion, or correction of their data at any time.

I still have questions - what should I do?
